About Toyota’s Cars, Vans, SUVs, and Pickup Trucks by Toyota Corolla, Camry, and Avalon

Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese automobile manufacturer. It was started by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as an offshoot of his father’s company, “Toyota Industries,” and it was founded specifically to create automobiles. Years later, it was the third-largest automobile manufacturer in the world and produced its 200,000,000th vehicle by 2012. Toyota had a break above the competition in developing things such as their new safety system that alerts drivers of potential hazards and impending crashes and will actually apply the brakes itself in certain situations if the driver fails to do so. This idea is to reduce the risk of driving and make vehicles safer.

Toyota is utilizing real-world traffic data and statistics to build the best system they can, which is great news for Toyota auto transports, who have to deal with perpetually bad drivers across the country. Visit the Toyota Wikipedia page to learn more about Toyota and its various models. Some highlights on select Toyota models are below.

Toyota Corolla

Toyota Corolla is a model of compact and subcompact vehicles and is one of the best-selling cars ever. Year-to-year, the Corolla has been the best-selling or one of the best-selling cars since 1974. By 1997 the Corolla surpassed the Volkswagen Beetle as the bestselling vehicle of all time. In 2013, Toyota reported its 40 millionth Corolla sale. Throughout the years of its success, its chief competitors have been the Nissan Sunny, which was introduced in 1966, the same year the Corolla was first introduced, and then the Honda Civic. Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry is a mid-sized sedan, slightly larger than the Corolla. It was first placed on the market in 1980 and was originally a compact car. Later in 1991 and beyond, Toyota Camrys became mid-size sedans. The Camry became the best-selling passenger car in North America by 2012. Even though it is a very successful car in North America, it has not received much success in Japan, the headquarters of Toyota. Get an online car shipping quote for your Toyota Auto Transport.

Toyota Avalon

The Toyota Avalon is a line of full-size, four-door cars, bigger than the Corolla and the Camry. Its first model year was 1995. It featured front-wheel drive and a powerful V-6 engine. It doesn’t sell as well as the Corolla or Camry, but it has its place in Toyota’s lineup as its a full-sized car for those who want extra room but don’t want a mini-van or SUV.

Prius

The Toyota Prius is a hatchback, gasoline-electric hybrid. It was first introduced in Japan in 1997 as a compact sedan and later sold worldwide as a hatchback in 2000. The EPA rates the Prius as one of the cleanest cars sold in the U.S. In 2011, Toyota launched several types of Prii (the official plural form of Prius as voted by the public), including the Prius Liftback, V, C, and Plug-In Hybrid. The various Prii are among the most fuel-efficient cars sold in the U.S., with the 2012 Prius C getting 53 MPG. Its fuel efficiency is surpassed by the Chevrolet Volt, which was rated by the EPA in 2010 at 60 MPG. Even though your Prius uses little fuel, you’ll save money by having it transported long-distance rather than driven because of the wear-and-tear put on a vehicle when it is driven, hotel costs, etc.

Previa

Previa is one of Toyota’s largest minivans and goes by different names in different global markets. It’s the Conrado in most of Asia, the Estima in Japan, and the Tarago in Australia. It was introduced by Toyota in 1990 and is still in production today. Back in 1990, it was unveiled as a preview of the technologies that would be used in Toyota’s future minivans.

Sienna

The Sienna is Toyota’s other large minivan. It is a newer model, first introduced in 1997. It was made to be produced alongside the Camry, as they share an automobile platform. An automobile platform is a way for automakers to reduce costs and increase efficiency by having multiple models share the same basic engineering, assembly, design, and common parts. With a common base, manufacturers can make several unique models with minimal work. Before 2004, the Sienna and Previa were physically smaller than their competitors, but they were made bigger this year.

Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser is an off-road Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). It is very tough, reliable, and can run for years under harsh conditions. To ensure each year’s Land Cruiser is at par with the previous ones, they are tested in the Australian Outback, which has extreme terrain and temperature. Because of its durability, it is the most popular 4-wheel drive vehicle in South Sudan and Australia. It was first made in 1951 and is still popular today, making it Toyota’s longest-running vehicle model.

4Runner

The 4Runner is also a Sports Utility Vehicle made by Toyota. It was first put into production in 1984 and is still being made. Throughout its life, it has gone from being basically a pickup truck to a small to medium-sized SUV. It is similar to the Toyota Highlander, which is a bit bigger.

FJ Cruiser

The Toyota FJ Cruiser’s first model year was 2007, and it was Toyota’s newest SUV. It uses the same automobile platform as the Land Cruiser Prado. It is a compact SUV with two full doors and two half doors and comes in rear-wheel, front-wheel, and four-wheel drive.

Toyota’s Trucks: Tacoma and Tundra

Like all of Toyota’s other models, the Toyota Tacoma is a well-made, reliable vehicle. When it was first put into production in 1995, it was a compact pickup truck, and from 2004 to the present, it has been made slightly bigger and considered a mid-size pickup. There are 2-door and 4-door versions, with your choice of a regular, extended, or crew cab. In 2005 Motor Trend Magazine awarded the Tacoma as its “Truck of the Year.”

The Toyota Tundra. Four years after Toyota debuted the Tacoma, it released the Tundra, its full-size pickup truck. In its first few years, it featured a V6 engine like the Tacoma but was later upgraded to use a V8, greatly increasing its towing capacity. It received Motor Trend Magazine’s “Truck of the Year” award not once but twice! first in 2000 and then in 2008. Like the Tacoma, it comes in both 2-door and 4-door versions.

Toyota Enclosed Auto Transport

The safest way to transport your Toyota is within an enclosed auto transport. There are two options for shipping your Toyota via enclosed auto transport:

  • Soft-Sided Enclosed Auto Transport – The carrier’s heavy canvas protects your Audi from wind-blown debris, rain, sleet, snow, and other elements.
  • Hard-Sided Enclosed Auto Transport – In addition to the advantages of soft-sided carriers, hard-sided carriers offer protection for your Toyota in the unlikely event your car is exposed to possible damage during transportation.

Toyota Open Auto Transport

We recommend shipping most Toyotas with our open car carriers. In general, Toyotas are durable vehicles. Number 1 Auto Transport generally only recommends shipping via an enclosed trailer for high-end, luxury, or delicate vehicles. Shipping in an open carrier will save you money. Are you thinking about using open carrier auto transport for shipping your Toyota? Open carriers are the same double-decker carriers your Toyota dealer uses. Furthermore, your Toyota will be secured with state-of-the-art equipment, arriving at its destination within seven days of departure. Open auto transport is a secure way of shipping your vehicle – your Toyota will have protection from road vibration and any other type of jolts on the road.

Car Transport: Shipping Your Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry has been the best-selling car in the U.S. for seven of the recent eight years. Its mainstream family car approach has been enjoyed by individuals looking for quality, reliability, excellent resale value, and solid engineering. Many individuals have used car transport services to transport their Camry when relocating to a different city. The Camry has been in production since 1983.

Shipping Toyota CamryThe new 2014 Toyota Camry vehicles can be found on car transport carriers and offer several options in their package. It has five trim levels: L, LE, SE, SE Sport, and XLE. All models feature power windows and mirrors, a trip computer, Bluetooth capabilities, and USB/iPod interfaces. In addition, the Camry features front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine choices are a 158-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. A reliable car transport company can transport your vehicle to most U.S. destinations.

Best Car Transport Choice

There are several car transport choices to consider when transporting your Toyota Camry. However, the best option to choose is open car transport. Open car transport services are the cheapest way to ship your car to another city. Most people can have their car delivered in as little as seven days. All cars are safely loaded to decrease unnecessary vibrations. A reliable car transport company has adequate insurance coverage to cover most damages.

Additional Car Transport Information

When using a car transport company to ship your Camry, check to see if the car transport drivers are licensed and certified. Truck drivers are required by law to register with the Department of Transportation before moving their vehicles. Reliable car transport companies usually give you real-time tracking updates and the truck driver’s phone number.
